Rial Chocolates at the forefront of sustainability

  • Rial Chocolates reaches the degree of sustainable company.
  • The packaging used in all Rial Chocolates products is sustainable.

A few years ago, at Rial Chocolates we fully subscribed to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that in 2015 the member states of the UN, together with NGOs and citizens from all over the world, generated a proposal to develop them. These seventeen goals seek to achieve three dimensions of sustainable development in a balanced manner: the economic, social and environmental spheres.

At Rial Chocolates we think that corporate social responsibility and sustainability are more than a trend. Because, at Rial Chocolates they are a reality. Clients and society in general know that the protection of the planet also represents the protection that we are going to offer to future generations.

  1. For this fundamental reason Rial Chocolates has contracted new suppliers:
  2. Some are the cardboard manufacturers that display the FSC eco label on all products.
The others are the manufacturers of the bags that wrap their delicious chocolate-covered almond Albons.

Previously, these bags were made of polypropylene, a derivative of petroleum, and today these bags are biocompostable, which means that the material with which they are made returns to the earth.

Both decisions, in addition to guaranteeing the protection of the environment, improve manufacturing processes, shorten workflows and add value to the company as a whole.

Today, FSC labels can be found on many products around the world. What does the label mean? In a nutshell: by choosing products with FSC labels you are helping to take care of the world’s forests. Each label provides information on the nature and origin of the materials used to manufacture the finished and labeled product.

The company

RIAL CHOCOLATES was born from the union of two professional chocolatiers passionate about chocolate with the mission of bringing this little great pleasure to the public. Its long history and experience in the world of chocolate or caramel-coated almond and nut pralines have led to the creation of Rial Chocolates.

In addition, they recently began the process of internationalizing the Rial Chocolates brand, throughout Europe and Africa. Although turnover is still low, coinciding with the end of the pandemic, its own international market is expected to stabilize, until it reaches a consolidated position that provides a high volume of turnover.

Other important objectives for Rial Chocolates are to be in constant communication with customers, always trying to satisfy their needs, and also to be persistent in the development and innovation of new products.
